Welcome to ukeStroud

UkeStroud meetings will be cancelled for the time being.
This includes Saturday strummers, Tab sessions and the gigs which were planned for April and also the 10th-anniversary celebrations, which we can easily re-arrange for a later date.

ukeStroud is a friendly club for ukulele players from Stroud and surrounding areas.

It was formed in 2010 and meets on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of the month at Pitchcombe Village Hall, GL6 6LP.
The hall is situated behind the church and has a good-sized car park and easy access.
We meet from 8-10 pm and have a well-deserved break for hot drinks and biscuits.
The cost is £2.00.

Newcomers are very welcome if you want to find out more about playing this fun instrument.
We don’t have the facility to teach absolute beginners at our Thursday meetings but do run separate beginners’ sessions

The Saturday morning group meets monthly at Pitchcombe 9.30 -11.30 for less experienced players and tuition is given for chords and techniques.

Once a month, usually 4th Thursday, there is a session for people playing melodies, mostly from “TAB” creating a lovely ensemble sound.

A session every Tuesday at the, from 7:15 to 9 pm, in the coffee bar of the Kings Head, King’s Stanley GL10 3JD
The evening is very informal for getting together to share ideas and techniques.

ukeStroud are available to play for fundraising events, social groups and care homes.
We charge only a modest fee.
